Solidify Waste Without Paying to Haul Added Bulk

See how a small amount of ZORBZALL® solidifies wet sludge with minimal added bulk.

Compared with high-volume bulking agents such as sawdust or clay, less added material can mean less disposal weight and volume, fewer truckloads, and lower hauling and landfill costs.

RNR evaluates total treatment cost — not simply absorbent cost per pound.

ZORBZALL® Bulk Super Absorbent Polymer

Bulk Sodium Polyacrylate Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP)

ZORBZALL® is a bulk sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent polymer (SAP) supplied for industrial liquid solidification, waste treatment, sludge solidification spill management, and other high-volume absorbent applications. Available in bulk quantities, including 2,205 lb supersacks and pallet quantities, for commercial and industrial customers throughout the United States.

Industrial Liquid Solidification

ZORBZALL® rapidly absorbs and solidifies water-based liquids, wastewater, sludge, and other industrial liquid waste streams. The superabsorbent polymer converts free liquid into a more manageable solid or semi-solid material for handling, transportation, processing, and disposal.

Wastewater, Sludge & Industrial Waste Treatment

ZORBZALL® can be used to absorb and solidify free liquids in wastewater, sludge, industrial waste, and remediation applications. Its high absorption capacity can reduce the amount of conventional absorbent material required while helping create material that is easier to handle and transport.

Bulk SAP for Environmental & Industrial Applications

ZORBZALL® bulk superabsorbent polymer is suitable for environmental contractors, waste processors, industrial facilities, remediation companies, landfills, wastewater operations, and other businesses that need an economical method for absorbing and solidifying liquid waste.

Bulk Quantities & Nationwide Supply

ZORBZALL® is available in bulk quantities for industrial and commercial users, from individual pallets to truckload orders. RNR Environmental supplies customers throughout the United States, with freight quoted based on quantity and delivery destination.

How ZORBZALL® Super Absorbent Polymer Works

ZORBZALL® sodium polyacrylate rapidly absorbs water-based liquids by drawing free liquid into its cross-linked polymer structure, where the liquid is retained and converted into a gel-like solid or semi-solid material.

Absorption performance varies with the liquid being treated. Dissolved salts, minerals, pH, temperature, contaminants, and other dissolved solids can affect how much sodium polyacrylate is required to achieve the desired solidification.

For industrial applications, a representative sample of the actual liquid should be tested to determine the appropriate polymer dosage before full-scale use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sodium polyacrylate is a cross-linked superabsorbent polymer (SAP) capable of absorbing and retaining large amounts of water and other aqueous liquids. ZORBZALL® is supplied as a bulk sodium polyacrylate for industrial liquid solidification, wastewater and sludge treatment, spill management, remediation, and other applications where free liquid needs to be converted into a manageable solid or semi-solid material.

The amount of sodium polyacrylate required depends on the composition of the liquid being treated. Clean water generally requires less polymer than wastewater, sludge, brine, or liquids containing dissolved salts, minerals, oils, chemicals, or other contaminants. Because absorption performance varies by waste stream, RNR Environmental recommends testing a representative sample to determine the appropriate ZORBZALL® dosage before full-scale treatment.

ZORBZALL® can be used to absorb and solidify many water-based industrial liquids, including wastewater, sludge containing free liquid, process water, spill liquids, remediation water, and other aqueous waste streams. Performance depends on the chemistry of the liquid. High concentrations of dissolved salts, minerals, acids, bases, oils, solvents, or other contaminants may affect absorption capacity, so representative sample testing is recommended for industrial applications.

Yes. Sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent polymer can be used to absorb and solidify free water in many wastewater, sludge, and industrial waste streams. ZORBZALL® can help convert liquid or high-moisture waste into a more manageable solid or semi-solid material for handling, transportation, processing, or disposal. Performance depends on the chemistry and solids content of the waste stream, so representative sample testing is recommended to determine the appropriate dosage.

Sodium polyacrylate can absorb substantially more water relative to its own weight than conventional bulk absorbents such as sawdust, clay, or other mineral-based materials. In suitable water-based applications, this can reduce the quantity of absorbent added and the resulting volume and weight of material that must be handled or transported. Actual performance and economics depend on the liquid being treated, contaminant levels, disposal requirements, and the cost of the absorbent, so testing the specific waste stream is recommended.

Yes. Dissolved salts, minerals, acids, bases, oils, solvents, and other contaminants can affect the absorption capacity of sodium polyacrylate. High concentrations of dissolved salts and other ions generally reduce the amount of liquid the polymer can absorb compared with clean water. Because industrial wastewater, brine, sludge, and process liquids can vary considerably in composition, ZORBZALL® dosage should be determined by testing a representative sample of the actual liquid before full-scale treatment.

ZORBZALL® bulk sodium polyacrylate superabsorbent polymer is available from RNR Environmental for commercial and industrial customers throughout the United States. Bulk quantities are available for applications including liquid waste solidification, wastewater and sludge treatment, spill management, remediation, and other industrial uses. Contact RNR Environmental with the quantity required and delivery location for current availability, pricing, and freight options.

ZORBZALL® is supplied in bulk for industrial and commercial applications in 2,205 lb supersacks, with one supersack per pallet. A full truckload contains 19 pallets, or approximately 41,895 lbs. Orders are available from individual pallets to multi-pallet and full truckload quantities. RNR Environmental can quote material and freight based on the number of pallets required and the delivery destination.

Bulk sodium polyacrylate pricing depends on quantity, availability, freight and delivery location. Larger orders can reduce material cost per pound, but price per pound alone does not determine the lowest treatment cost. The amount of absorbent required, final waste weight and volume, hauling costs and disposal fees can have a much greater impact on total project cost. RNR Environmental can evaluate ZORBZALL® dosage and cost per treated gallon or ton to help determine the most economical approach. For high-moisture waste streams, RNR can also evaluate whether WasteShrink™ Technology could further reduce hauling weight, disposal tonnage and total waste-management costs.
