RNR WasteShrink™ Technology

An innovative approach to reducing industrial waste volume, hauling weight and disposal costs before final disposal.

RNR WasteShrink™ Technology is a proprietary waste-reduction solution designed to substantially reduce the weight and volume of suitable high-moisture industrial waste streams. Less material can mean fewer truckloads, lower landfill tonnage and significantly lower total waste-management costs.

RNR Environmental evaluates each waste stream to determine its reduction potential and compare the economics with your current hauling and disposal method.

What Can WasteShrink™ Technology Reduce?

RNR WasteShrink™ Technology targets one of the largest costs associated with wet industrial waste: transporting and disposing of unnecessary mass and volume. Depending on the waste stream and application, substantial reductions may be possible before final disposal.

Less Waste to Haul

Reducing waste volume and weight can mean fewer loads leaving your facility and less material requiring transportation.

Lower Disposal Tonnage

Reducing the mass of suitable waste streams before disposal can substantially decrease the tonnage ultimately requiring transportation and final disposal.

Lower Total Cost

Fewer loads and less disposal tonnage can translate directly into lower transportation and waste-management costs.

Industrial Waste Streams for WasteShrink™ Technology

RNR WasteShrink™ Technology can be evaluated for industrial waste streams where excess moisture contributes significantly to hauling weight, disposal volume and overall waste-management costs. Each application is evaluated individually to determine its potential for meaningful reduction.

Sludge & Process Waste

Industrial sludge, wastewater residuals and process waste containing significant moisture may be candidates for WasteShrink™ Technology before transportation and final disposal. Depending on the waste stream, RNR may also evaluate ZORBZALL® SAP solidification or wastewater treatment to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solution.

Hydrovac & Vacuum Waste

Hydrovac, vacuum truck and excavation waste can contain large amounts of water that add substantial weight and volume to every load requiring transportation and disposal.

High-Moisture Industrial Waste

Other high-moisture waste streams may also qualify. RNR Environmental can evaluate a representative sample to determine whether WasteShrink™ Technology is appropriate for the material.

See What WasteShrink™ Technology Could Save You

1. Tell Us About Your Waste Stream

Provide information about the material, approximate volume, moisture or solids content if known, current number of loads, transportation costs and disposal costs. A representative sample may also be requested for evaluation.

2. RNR Evaluates the Application

We evaluate the waste stream to determine whether it is a suitable candidate for WasteShrink™ Technology and assess the potential reduction in material requiring transportation and final disposal.

3. Compare the Disposal Economics

When sufficient information is available, RNR can compare the current waste-management approach with the potential WasteShrink™ approach—including truckloads, disposal tonnage and estimated total handling and disposal costs.

4. Develop a WasteShrink™ Solution

For suitable applications, RNR Environmental can develop a WasteShrink™ Technology solution around the specific waste stream, operating conditions and economic objectives of the project.

See What WasteShrink™ Could Save You

Send us information about your waste stream, current hauling volume and disposal costs. RNR Environmental can evaluate whether WasteShrink™ Technology may reduce the material you transport and dispose of—and estimate the potential savings.
